Description
In Alba County, the village of Rimetea is known for the local tale of the sun "rising twice." The effect occurs because the settlement lies between steep slopes of the Trascău Mountains and is dominated by the large limestone peak called Székler Rock. Its shape creates a double horizon, making the sun appear briefly, disappear, and then rise again—a natural phenomenon later turned into a simple village legend.
