The “Eyes of Sibiu”, or the ”houses with eyes” re the distinctive eyelid‑shaped attic windows found on many historic houses in the old town. Originally designed for ventilation, they became a recognizable architectural feature that gives the rooftops a watchful, almost symbolic presence.
