Abstract
Description
The Brukenthal Museum was established in the early 19th century by Baron Samuel von Brukenthal, whose personal art collection became the foundation of the institution. The museum is housed in his former Baroque palace, a building with an elegant courtyard, sculpted façades, and richly decorated interiors that reflect the status and tastes of the Transylvanian elite of the time.
